No intrusion at all Larry, that is interesting? I have several spoiler ends on the shelf, I will have to dig them out and take a look. I am pretty sure the one on the silver is original to the car. Yes there should be an additional stud at the bottom making 3 total attachment points. The bottom stud on mine was originally glued/epoxied to the rubber and broke off. I tried fixing it but it broke again during my initial installation. At that point I just left it off. The bottom of the spoiler sits tight against the car so I wont worry about it.

I did the exact same thing. Nothing seems to stick to those. I tried roughing it up really well and even melted one in and tried to cover it a bit. Still came out.

I am guessing by 1980 Pontiac decided the lower stud wasn’t necessary. My car doesn’t have the lower stud or a hole in the fender.

I have three sets of the 79-81 ends and all have two studs like Larry’s picture. As do my 77 ends

Another nice set of seat tracks. I think this is no. 4 now! Im pretty sure you can buy these now as a repro. When I did my '77 they were not repro'd and finding a pair that didnt have the feet rusted out was indeed a challenge. Now I have a few them and no need  I guess thats the way the ball bounces.

This is the dye I used on the carpet and the seat upholstery. Its a perfect match for the seat colour. I bought it from a company I found online called 'Detail King'. I was initially looking for cleaning supplies and found they had this stuff too. So far they have been great to order from. I have placed 3 or 4 orders now and being across the state of PA I get the product overnight, so theres that!! They have tons of cleaning supplies, next time I need to stock up I will check them out just because.

I have used SEM on everything else and probably would have on the seat covers, BUT I had some of this leftover from the carpet and it matched perfect.

Im still here and still working on the resto. Not to sound to redundant but for those that may not know, April 30, 2025 our home burnt and was a total loss. I have spent every day since then working one way or another to get back into our new home and a regular way of life. We moved into the new house (built upon the ashes of the original) early June. Still a lot of little stuff to do but all but ready to get back to the shop and finish the restoration of this car. I havent touched a thing for over a year as it has been pushed into a corner of the shop to allow storage room of salvage items. I dont have a lot left to do, however after sitting for a year there is probably a lot that will need to be re done at this point. I hope to get things rolling again by late summer.
Stay tuned.....................

Luke I do have something on the back burner. I was hoping I would be knee deep in welding patch panels by this time. At this rate it would be nice to start over the winter. Once I get the 79 finished I will re-assess the 'next one' to see just how bad it is and make a decision if my threshold of pain will tolerate it. It will not be a Pontiac

I can throw in a set of seat cables if needed, saw broken during seat swap.

Do you recall if the carpet holes were used by the seats to poke the track legs through like a sleeve? Most/all the carpets had them, few recall how they were before removal, none refit new carpet the same way.

I cannot answer the carpet question. It has been so long since I have looked at it. I seem to recall some holes cut in the carpet but no slits if that makes any sense. Hoping to get back to thinks very soon.
