front Seat belts functionality test
« on: July 13, 2026, 06:32:31 PM »
I had the driver's side done by planetseatbelt.com. The quality is good. I tried the sudden yanking the belt forward to see if it locks up and it did not, same thing for the front passenger side.
Do the seat belts in your ride lock up when doing that test? I am worried about this important safety feature.

There's info in the glovebox manual. I had to supply just in case they picked faults by testing them incorrectly. Pendulum and tilt vs inertia.

You mean the owner's manual?

Good question, but like Walli... said I think there are different variables that result in the locking. Sometimes a quick yank and they will lock, other times you can try to replicate that with no luck. I think its hard to replicate a 'real world' situation. Then again it would be nice to know they are working if they are ever needed.

Mine lock, I noticed the replacement rear is less sensitive than the original factory.
