A pillar tweeter housing
« on: August 25, 2026, 06:58:33 AM »
Just ordered these for the TA.  With the 81, I have the dash speakers on both sides of the dash.  Those will house my mid ranges and these will house my tweeters.  I feel insane for paying what I did not them but I want a clean looking install

Looks good and your sound system will sound great! I think you'll be pleased you paid a little more for them.

I am excited to get them installed.  Right now I just have the kick panel speakers and it's tough to hear them

Dave,
Those look nice. What kind of provisions do they have for speaker mounting? Or is that something you have to do?

Not sure yet as I have not gotten them (Picture shown is from their website).  I would guess you drill the hole for the tweeter and install.  I did get the custom grill/cover for them as well.

Made some progress on the A pillar posts.  The drivers side fits ok, that corner was hit at some point in the cars life, so I suspect its more the car might be tweeked as opposed to the piece not fitting right.  The pass side fits much better.  I still have some things to figure out on how to make the drivers side look good where it meets the dash.  Its all painted the same color as my goal with this car is to make upgrades but make it more or less discreet or at least not hugely in your face.  Sorry, not sure why they posted sideways

The whole was already drilled.  I just slid the tweeter in and glued it into place with a few dabs of glue.  The metal mounts for holding the tweeter in are long gone
