SCOOP TO AIR CLEANER HOUSING GASKET?
« on: August 30, 2026, 07:01:59 PM »
Was there ever a gasket that went between the air cleaner housing and the shaker scoop?

Back when my car had the 301 it always moved around even when screwed tight. That gasket would have helped. With the LS my scoop is wedged to the hood with aluminum bars so I didn't ruin the stock hood with screws. It also allows me to move the scoop around for alignment. But you stockers don't care about that. Haha.

AH, indeed I inquired about this 3 years ago. Hard to remember but it answered my question. What I did was to but 1/4" insulating foam with adhesive and wedge it into the ring. I just powder coated the air cleaner housing and damaging the coating is a priority.
