This is from TA. Seems to have said bye to the bushing?

Good pic, yup, bush gone bye bye. Deluxe seats in it?

As shown with my other pics, the bush also keeps the cable out of the way or it eventually gets pinched and destroyed.

Once the coating starts to crack and fall off, the stiffer cable tends to then just focus on that area to keep bending rather than be even and over entire length.

Do you have to remove the console to remove the striker? How is the new bushing installed?

Shouldn't have to, just flip the seat over for access. Should be a bent T50 Torx head, unscrew, slip on bush or whatever, refit. That particular striker is just that, a bumper. Apart from going through the trim and covers, and washers, it holds nothing.

Got it. Is Dorman the only "solution"?

Haha ive already asked this with no response. I ended up cutting some to length from matching bushing tube as well, eas actually leafspring bush for lightweight trailer. Just as a further option.

It is a door striker bushing, size is not given by can be asked from the seller. It might fit.

Check this out.

Yeah, any striker bushes that are intended for door or tailgate strikers are typically the same thing. Just unbranded vs the Dorman/Help type. None of those exist in Australia hence cutting some to size.
