How hard/easy is this to replace?
-
It's probably one of the toughest seals to get functioning correctly I feel. One tip i can give you it that you may need to clamp a bunch of paint sticks to the seal to compress the area the t top sits in for a few months or if you can get it in, the actual T top itself. You will probably need to loosen the t top pins so it doesn't pull them down so hard and then re adjust after they sit for a while. The seals need to be worked in and have the imprint set in the seal. They will eventually have a memory and let the tops seat all the way down.
Also, best to find Metro seals or another soft brand to help speed up what I call the imprint process.

Thanks, I have heard these can be a bear

Also, some of the manufacturers make them completely wrong. The corners on the roof are in the wrong locations and or the molded corner by the dash is in the wrong spot, like not enough length between each corner if that makes sense. Pay more amd get one from a reputable company.

Metro is the ones I got. We are going on vacation next week so I won't begin to install them until we get back

Not easy. Very time consuming if professional results are sought [which should be the goal] I have started replacing mine and finished off prepping the driver's side and mock "installed" the seal. Not easy. Will not complete the installation until the passenger side seal is removed and the area prepped. Car will get painted and the seals installed after.
