Valve Cover to Air Cleaner Vent Tube for 403
« on: June 01, 2025, 12:21:59 AM »
Hey everyone,

I’m looking for the correct valve cover to air cleaner vent tube that connects the air cleaner to the driver-side valve cover on a Olds 403. I’ve already picked up the rubber grommets that connect to the tube — now I just need the actual tube itself.

I found a couple listings on eBay for "air cleaner to valve cover breather vent tubes" that include dimensions like length and diameter, but none specifically state they fit a 403 Trans Am, just Oldsmobile's.

Here are the ones I found:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/167505629235 – "Short Tube": 5" end to end, 3/4" tube, bump-up is 13/16"

https://www.ebay.com/itm/197322151392 – "Long Tube": 6" end to end, 3/4" tube, bump-up is 13/16"

Before I order something that might not fit, I was hoping someone here could confirm the correct dimensions or point me to a source that sells one known to fit properly.

Any info would be appreciated — thanks!

That helps clarify things. I figured the Olds 403 was technically a small block, even with its size. Sounds like the short tube is probably what I need then.

Thanks, Wallington!

Technically and actually, it's a small block, large capacity, small block. The 455 is wider between heads, aircleaner is same size, longer pipe to reach grommets.
