ANOTHER 8 track lot I picked up
« on: May 12, 2025, 06:40:03 PM »
In similar fashion to Ryan’s craigslist post, this is what I get for cruising Facebook marketplace. I wasn’t particularly looking for any more eight tracks, but I saw this lot of tapes and cassettes for sale less than an hour from me and it seemed like a good deal. Turns out it was.

Plenty of good albums in there and nearly all of them are in EXCELLENT condition. The price was right so I couldn’t pass it up.

Oh man! That's a great haul! I really need to put my 8 track player in my car. Great, another project to add to my list. I have a stack of some really good ones. James Taylor, ozzy, eagles smokey and the bandit sound track. I play them on sometimes when I'm out working on the car. I love the tracks on some of the albums as they are different versions than what you normally hear on the radio.

Cool score!

Me too Mike! Although 8 tracks were on the tail end when I started to drive. Cassettes ruled the roost. There were cassette storage cases that looked like a brief case. I had maybe 8 or so full. I bought some but mostly made my own. I had maybe 600 or so albums to tape from. I cut up a file folder to make the sleeve and typed the name of the band. When looking inside they were all the same, but different names. Also I had them in alphabetical order. AND I wonder why my son has OCD :???:

No, I actually don’t have any brackets. Console is aftermarket so I’m not sure if that’s a factor but I found the player to be sandwiched between the floor and the console enough that it doesn’t move
