Y84 Wheel Restoration

Seven:
I'm having a set of 15 X 8 snowflake wheels restored for my 1979 Y84 T/A.  Should the faces of the wheels be gold painted or machined aluminum?

Wallington:
1978 WS6 rims were the only ones painted gold over the faces when introduced. They are likely getting hard to find now, they are still rough castings, not machined then painted. All 79's were machined.
