SPI Red Oxide epoxy

Any one use this product?  I thought I had heard of some people saying it was a close match to the factory red oxide.  A couple searches did not reveal anything.

I have used their epoxy primers and clear, but not their red oxide.
Since I had to learn how to paint because of Covid-19.. I took the advice of several body shop guys and started using SPI. It was very forgiving, the customer service and support is awesome and they also have a separate forum section with a ton of support. Free shipping..

Im with Luke, never used SPI stuff but have heard nothing but good things about them. I went to the local paint store and he could no longer get anything red epoxy. I had a real good example from a piece of floor I cut out and he colour matched paint that I put on after I primered the bottom. From what I have seen the original colours has a bit of variation either over time or plants or what? I have seen from a very reddish colour to almost brown.

SPI epoxy is fantastic to work with. Easy to lay down flat and very nice sanding, unlike DP40LF.

I use it exclusively but I can't comment about the color.  I use the white.  It's great stuff but look very carefully at their instructions.  They are very picky.  They have a good forum that explains how to do if you mess up.

They claim it might need to be above 65F all night when you use it, so it's just now getting warm enough here for me not to worry about it. That's probably overkill conservative.

I used it (the black and red oxide) and while the red color isn't a spot on match, it looked good enough for me. I painted the entire car with it, inside and out.

They are picky with their instructions as stated before, but their forum is useful and you can even call the owner (can't remember his name) and he'll clear up any questions you may have.
