POMC American day
DeVilliers:
Hi all,
We had a small event close by on Sunday, so I took the car out for n drive.
The event was organized by the local Pretoria Old Motor Club (www.pomc.co.za). It wasn't a huge event, but probably 100 or more care coming and going through the day. Thought I would share some pics.
Hope you recognize the first one :) There were 3 Firebirds, and mine was the only 79.

There were plenty of Cobra's and one even came with it's own transporter:

There were plenty of other cars around. More Pontiacs, Buicks, Studebaker, some Impala's.
Saw a Model A Ford somewhere. Also a lot of what we call "Rat-Rods"
Hope you enjoyed :)

Nice showing of old machines and mild weather. I am envious.
Thanks for sharing!

Looks like a fun day with lots of interesting cars. I cant imagine how happy you were to be able to participate. Your car looks great there!
rkellerjr:
That CORD is interesting.

Cords are great cars. Looks like a Westchester sedan. I am curious if it has its original drive train. They were originally built as front wheel drive. The transmission can be problematic if not properly restored. I have heard that done right they are a great driving car. Very modern in a lot of ways for their time. The parent company was Auburn, Duesenburg.
