Correct steering column color and dash bezel question
« on: January 20, 2023, 06:31:17 PM »
Hello,
I have a 78 Trans-Am with dark Carmine red interior. My question is the steering column is black and I’m curious if it should be red. Also the gauge bezel has the round turn signal indicators is that correct for 78?

Thank you,
Joe

on your cowl tag will be listed the secondary colour
depending on what plant your car was built
if van nuys will be second group of third row
if norwood will be fourth group of third row
secondary colour is
dash pad, steering column, console, kick panels and rear parcel shelf

A Camaro looks like it could kick your ass.
A Trans Am looks like it's coming over to do it

1970-1979 had the triangle turn signal indicators.  1980-1981 had round turn signal indicators.

78 TA's had a black column except for Y88 that used the tan. So black is correct.
Round dash bezels are from 80-81, prior still used the arrow heads.
