Oil pressure sensor 4th gen
« on: March 18, 2021, 11:13:18 AM »
Anyone have the misfortune of having to replace the oil pressure sensor on the back of an LT1?  Well I have.  My sensor cracked and was letting oil past.  The job looks intimidating but it turns out it wasn't so bad.  However, I have skinny arms and small hands so the tight work by feel method turned out to be quite easy.  I thought the hardest part would have been reinstalling it blindly but I managed to get it in short order on the first try.

I hate working on the LT1 in an F body.  In my opinion that engine was designed for use in the Corvette with the clam shell hood so getting around the back and sides is a piece of cake.  Using it in the F body cars is an after thought.

Glad that you were able to get it done, and I'm glad that I've never had to work on modern V8... I like my 400 just fine, everything there and easily accessible.

Regards, Jack
