Title: Question for David if he's still around
Post by: chief poncho on January 17, 2022, 04:10:41 PM
Not sure if anyone checks these sponsor's posts anymore, but I had a question for PTFB.  I have one of the old suspension kits I ordered for my car years back.  Finally have the car with the engine installed and most of the interior back in.  Unfortunately, the front sits way to low and the back end is sitting way to high.  Was supposed to be about a 1" drop all the way around.  With the 455 installed, I'm sitting way to low in the front.  Wondering if we can do anything about that short of changing out the springs.  I was hoping the rear was simply that it would settle with time.  It might go down a bit when I drive it, but its still sitting way to high.

yes still around, not much unfortunately as the site has been down often, and since Covid it has been extremely hard to keep up with all media platforms and the shop work load has more than doubled.
To try to help on your questions, what is "way too high" and way too low" ?
The height estimates are based on average calculations of spring loads (there is no other way to do this)
What size tires do you have?
Is the car road worthy?
Is the car 100% complete?
What PTFB suspension kit do you have?

Thanks for responding!  I sent you a PM.  I'll need to get the measurements and some pics over to you.
