Title: Fuel door 79-81 which had the bird emblem?

 I should replace my fuel door. It looks great for the outside but it looks to be sand blasted from the inside.  I can get either door with or without a bird emblem. My 79 does not have the bird emblem.  Which models had which? thanks

1981 had bird, TA and Formula had blackened.

81 had the bird, but was it an option on 79/80?   I think they look good on the 79 up tail light sections. I have seen quite a few 79's with them.

I don't recall it being an option for the '79's and 80's.  The 79's you've seen must have gotten them off of an '81 or ordered them aftermarket if they're available.

Just the usual blending into the next model which was designed with the bird there.

1981 only, wasn't an option, just came standard. Y84's received gold eagles in the middle.
