It's been a while since i have posted but thought I would show off my latest project. 1972 455HO Formula. All number's matching western car. Hope to have it at the TA Nats in August. I have already restored the wheels, put on the Wide Oval repo's and now starting the interior.

I love it! I may be in the minority but I especially like the vinyl top. It doesnt look bad at all on a formy. Nice colour on the car as well. You need to post some more pics.

I am a huge fan of 70 - 73 Gen II Firebirds. Beautiful car!
I am sure you are aware, but they only built 276 455 HO Formula's in 1972 making this a really rare car.

+1 looks like a fantastic car. Interesting color - the 70s sure had more interesting colors than we have now.

I love those early formulas! Those hood are so cool. Great looking car! I second the more pictures! Some interior before pictures as well. Great car there!

Someone had painted the interior green. I am slowly getting it done. New dash is in, plan to finish up the interior this week. I will do before and after when complete.

Love seeing new projects here on TAC!! What a great find. Those floor pans are ridiculously clean. Was that a black interior car from the factory? I was thinking it would have been a brown interior car.
I may also be in the minority, but I kinda liked that green interior.

It was actually beige/brown. It will probably be returned to that one day but the difference in price for beige seat covers vs black was staggering!

Here are pics from when I got it. it hadn't been running in years and I took the chance it would all work out. Glad it did. I had the small rust issues around vinyl top addressed and the car buffed.

That is so flippin cool. My floor pans were clean but not THAT clean, you could eat off those babies!

What a fantastic weekend at the TA Nationals! Drove the car around 800 miles roundtrip on it's maiden voyage. Found a few issues that need addressed but overall a great trip. The car was well received with lots of positive comments. I believe it was the only 72 455HO Formula in attendance this year. I have attached a few pics.

Awesome pictures at nationals. This was the first year that I attended. Really enjoyed it and had beautiful weather at least on Friday when I was there

Wow, didn’t realize that was your car. This year was my first year also. Too bad things aren’t like they used to be with enough members going down that they used to caravan together. That would’ve been fun.

Did a little detail work on the motor and got the exhaust fixed. still going to be a driver so nothing over the top for now.
