I opined on Steele Rubber and Ames, I think it was, in a thread somewhat recently.

I personally believe each company makes one that fits something good. Like softseal trunk and x T top. I can't remember who does what good. You'll have to search the site. A few guys did reviews on some.

Ok, yes I was being a lazy a$$ and not using the search function. I am going with the latex seals from “the parts place” since I have seen a fairly good review of those.

Honestly man, I compared those (I mistakenly said Ames earlier) and Steele Rubber and the SR are cheaper and I didn’t notice much if any difference between them. Mine is a hardtop though for what it’s worth.

I have used metro in the past (79 TA)  and prefer Steel rubber (74;TA) both are hardtop cars.

Ah ok. I didn’t try the door seals between them. Truth be told I havent a clue what door seals o have now. I installed them probably 10 years ago

I thought you were winding us up! Like what oil is best, one of those topics that just goes on and on and never really decides anything!

I thought there was a time when one was def. better than the other. I have used soft seal and they were fine. I bought the seals for the glass panel of the roof from Steele and they were very good as well.
