Pretty close to stock if I remember right. Swapped out those brake lines about 10 years ago and the stock ones also had the excessive bends prior to the caliper for the side to side movement

I love this!! I'm very jealous because I really want to add boost to my 55, but not in the cards right now. As for the boost through a Holley TBI I can't speak, but the software side it's 100% possible. Not only that, it's quite easy. I think that the stock Sniper fuel injectors are good for around 450 HP on an N/A vehicle, so the boosted would likely be less. More like 375-400, but is likely less than your target so you should be good there. You'll need to figure out what MAP sensor is a direct fit in the TBI and can read up to 2 Bar. You'll also want a beefy fuel pump, but you likely won't need anything more than a 255 lph since you are not looking for lots of boost. On the tuning side, you need to re-map the VE and Spark tables to account for the added boost which reads in kPA. 100 kPA is atmosphere, and 200 kPA is 14.7 psi, so you'd want to update the VE and spark tables to read from zero to about 150 kPA. You'll also want to do some reasearch on what AFR you want to run. I think generally you'd want to be around 12.5 at 100 kPA and bring it down somewhere in the 11's at full boost. Depending on how the motor reacts though, you could lean that out. Selecting the AFR is a hugely critical step in these "self-tuning" ECU's. While it does have a learn table for your fueling, you need to populate the AFR, timing and other variables. I'd probably just pick a 5psi wastegate spring and let the computer tune your fuel tables after you set AFR. Sounds like a really fun project, and I can't wait to hear more about it. Feel free to text me if you have any questions.

Today I stopped by to say hello, so Hello everyone!

School is now done, as I managed to graduate from the Electrical Technician program at the local college, and just as that happened, my wife requested that I finish the kitchen cupboard project I started before school!

She's been patient, so that's what I'm currently doing. After that, my hope is that I am able to plan at least once a week to getting the firebird back together and driving under her own power. Hopefully before the second coming of Christ!!

I also intend to tinker away at my bike project again once a week but that is not a priority although I wouldn't mind seeing if I can get to run this summer.

What else is going on here.............My dojo is doing pretty good! I have enough students to pay the bills but not enough to get rich but I'm ok with that!!

This year I want to try and rethink and scale down some of the projects, and learn that, although I can do everything myself, I don't necessarily have to do every thing myself!!

Cheers

Although this is an old photo, it still looks exactly like this!!  A while back I was able to bolt some part back onto the engine, but it's still far from being together so it sits on the engine stand. My goals are still to just this thing back together so I can drive it!!

BTW - Hello Everyone!!

I agree.  I have the GT rear, Hotchkiss front lowering (only because I didn't know of PTF when I bought them) solid body mounts and PTFB subframe connectors.  I have the 17x9 snowflakes. My car sticks like glue. I took it out on some winding roads the other day and just whipped through them. My son son was impressed and asked if our other 79 could do that. I said no way, at least not nearly as flat but it is a Formula and stock.

Like above, the ride is stiffer but not horrible.  I would like to autocross it but she's my baby.  I've have have owned her since the mid 90s. I want to keep her together and looking nice now.

Would love to see some photos on this suspension compared to the GT set up.  While I love how it looks and handles with the GT kit, as I get older, a bit more height might be nice.  I just always thought the stock TA sat too high in front and don't want to duplicate that
