LOL, I can empathize with that! I really enjoy learning new skills, especially tradecraft. My dad was an ironworker for many decades and while I didn't follow in his profession, he taught me a great many skills, though carpentry wasn't among them. Taught me how to log timber though, like his father before him. As we would travel the country he'd point out different buildings or powerplant chimneys he'd worked on.
My son and daughter both like to be involved in my projects, whether it's wood projects, automotive, etc. I once asked my son what he wanted to be when he grew up (he was about 4 at the time); he gave me a quizical look and said "I be Fweddie" (Freddie), as if it were obvious.
Best answer I ever got to that question! My dad would often say "I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up!"
