Hi there
Changing my rear shocks one of my upper bolts snapped - I managed to drill out the snapped bolt but need to replace the mounting hardware.
In drilling out the bolt the threads on the nut are done.
Any idea on options? J Nut?
Thanks in advance
Mike

Try retapping to the next size, 5/16”

thanks, that's what I was thinking - didn't look like it was a J Nut - looked like a beefed up section that was threaded

Can always drill like JJ 109 said and put in a Heli-Coil.

it's been awhile since on wrenched on the car, thanks for the heli-coil, totally forgot about those

Just an FYI for anyone interested.
I went with a Rivet Nut instead of a steel rivet nut, simple fix
