Front flare fix

Any ideas on how to fix or make a backing plate for my front flare? Nothing on eBay or Dallas CL.

I assume they are the urethane version not fiberglass.

“V out the crack real good. Grind off the paint back a couple inches all around.

You can buy a urethane repair product, but I have had good luck with just epoxy like JB weld.

I like to embed in a glass mat for reinforcement on the back side, straddling the crack.

Simular process for fiberglass, just use fiberglass resin.

It's off a 74, right side, TA, so not like the urethane ones on my 79. I was thinking about fiberglass and tried to get in contact with Danko to see if I could get one from them, but they don't answer their phones or respond too emails. I hate working with fiberglass ....

PM sent to Roadking. Hope he has a backing plate.
