I found a spare nosecone top bracket #527359 in my collection so a couple extra comparison pics to add to those a few above.

It's a nice reproduction, it's just terribly incorrect and useless. Naturally,  I contacted both the seller and the manufacturer. No reply, easier to ignore and keep selling.

Luke, I am looking forward to seeing you do this. Trying to do a turbo with carburation and crude timing controls was the Achilles heel of the 301 turbo.

Out of curiosity, does the Sniper EFI have a knock sensor?

Nicely done Kerry, I knew you would find them. In your quest for the calipers did you find anything you weren't looking for? Gold nuggets or a valuable baseball card? It seems whenever I am searching for something, I find everything but what I am looking for.

You are getting close to having a driver. Many years ago, when I was doing my 19975 TA, I slowly drove it up and down the alley without doors, hood or a front clip. All it proved was it could move and stop, but I was excited anyway.

After digging through every box I had in the shop, and thats a lot I had given up. I knew I did not throw them away but got to the point that there was nowhere else I would have put them. THEN, I saw my flare kit peeking out on the corner of the shelf. I wondered, is there a chance................?  I have looked over that spot multiple times during my search as I KNEW the only thing there was my plumbing and electrical tool kits. However with all other spots coming up empty and nothing to loose there IT WAS
Got the block off, and of course the fitting on my brake line was not compatible. Luckily I had one in my pile of parts, got the flare kit out and new end put on. Got everything hooked back up on the car, gave the bleeder a few minutes of pumping with my vac tool but wore my hand out (minor case of arthritis) so I will get some help today to do some pushing on the brake pedal. Hopefully that will be quicker and easier.

After much digging yesterday I found my original calipers. Was able to salvage the brass block and using a new bolt and washers got things hooked up. Now to get the system bled!

Mike, that’s a pretty serious suspension upgrade. When you get a chance I would love to hear your critique on the changes to handling and ride.

Front and rear PTFB GT suspension (springs), new gas tank and sender, new lower arms and new tubular upper arms with the longer PTFB ball joints. Koni shocks all around.  PTFB aluminum solid body bushings.  Alignment and shims this morning.  Trying to ready it up for FirebirdFest 4 in a week.  Still have a few things I want to do to it before the trip.
