Title: How do I?
Post by: rkellerjr on December 02, 2021, 07:52:24 PM
I need to remove the parking brake assembly under the dash. I get what needs to happen but how do I get slack in the emergency brake cable to remove from the assembly?

Mark and undo the adjusting nuts on the primary cable, that will give you enough slack to pull the ferrule clear of the parking brake clevis.

Hey Rich, I think you've started something new. Sort-a like..."Today I..." that's what I thought this thread was.

If I were to continue, I would ask, "How do I"....repair my newly acquired round port exhaust manifold cracks?
(Will "Muggy Weld" work?)
Of course I would only ask this, after you've gotten your question answered.

I've never tried but I was told welds will not hold.

Punch in "Muggy welding" exhaust manifolds, and see what you think. I welded my cast iron coal stove with it, and it stuck. But the area of the stove I used it on, wasn't structural. Only cosmetic. Not loaded.
