Title: 1977-80 Firebird Parts Manual
Post by: Wallington on April 28, 2023, 12:15:21 AM
Anyone know of this GM Manual? I have a few much earlier variations that GM put out, some diagrams and info are copied from the more mainstream manuals, some are not. I have a few pages saved from this manual over the years from different sources and the diagrams and info are not the standard ones from other manuals. I haven't seen it listed, that I recall either. Assume it was a 1979-1980 print.

I have a 1978 full manual that covers all the body types made that year. Gotta be almost 3 inches thick.

Exactly what I said.

77-80 Firebird Parts manual by GM.

I have seen it referenced, I have a few pages from it that appear in no other manuals. I just haven't seen it.

Are you guys talking about the 'service manual'? I assume Wall. is looking for a parts book, which I assume is a different animal altogether than the service book.

No, just an obscure title. Thought some of the guys who collect manuals and GM literature may have a copy stashed away. I forgot all about it until digging through some files and saw a few I'd saved, I think it may have been an ebay ad many years ago with just a selection of pages. But those haven't been the same as shown in other manuals. More for conversation than anything else.

Ok, for instance, this is one of the pages I've saved from the '77-80 Firebird Parts Manual'. And yes, those pictures are really bad.

From memory it was along the lines of these other in-between GM manuals, I have a couple but not seen this other except that one time.

That would be a great piece of reference material to have, the price is too steep for me. I guess it boils down to what people are willing to pay.

For sure, I was more trying to locate it than much else. And that price doubles for me to obtain it. Of course, when I added up the previous scan I noticed the Pontiac name on the pages, so redid the search, there it is. Meh, not after it anymore!
