Thanks for the post. From the background noise and video quality it was probably a home 8mm movie camera recording from a TV. Regardless of the quality I still enjoyed. No doubt Pontiac’s success with the Trans Am in the late 70’s was helped a lot by Burt Reynolds and Smokey and the Bandit. O
Back then the dealers had a table top film projector. It projected the image onto a translucent screen from behind (kind of like the big projection TVs back in the 90s). The film was in a cartridge that plugged into the projector. This video was digitally recorded from that projector.
I saw this video back when I ordered my 79. Notice the TATA has the snowflake wheels rather than the turbo wheels.
