Title: Suspension bushings
Post by: sreta on November 20, 2021, 02:04:41 PM
Hi all ! I know that this was discussed many times before the site crash, but since the old topics are gone, I need some help regarding suspension bushings. My plan is to put solid body bushings, spherical front bearing for leaf springs and del-a-lum bushings for control arms. I don't know about the rest(front and rear sway bar bushings and links, rear leaf spring eye). Stick with rubber, or go with urethane ?
Thanks in advance guys !

sway bars and shackle bushings are fine to use urethane, the sway bar bushings are cheap and easy to replace and there is no other product that they could be made of to both fit and improve the sway bars effectiveness, the shackle bushings see very light load and still need to have some amount of compliance and urethane is the happy medium material for that.

Thanks a lot Dave. I'm saving some money to buy gt suspension kit, solid body bushings and subframe connectors.
Cheers !
