So, I placed and order for 2 new snowmobiles in March. They aren't here yet but they should be soon. We have 5 other sleds that our kids ride so I needed to replace my 2 place snowmobile trailer with something larger to carry at least 4. I stumbled upon a smoking hot deal on a new 24' enclosed car hauler for 5K. ( guy couldn't make the payments). Well I loaded it with our atvs which weigh about the same as sleds and made a few short trips pulling it with my 2012 ram 1500 Hemi. It did it but it struggled at high speeds and squatted like crazy. Well that now brings me to yesterday's purchase... A brand new RAM 2500 6.4L Hemi Night edition (Which was really hard to find. Drove 2 hrs to get it).
This hobby is getting ridiculously expensive... But hey, you only live once and it's a family affair.

Sweet ride and nice trailer! I know zero about snowmobiles, as they would get no use around this area, but the enclosed trailer and truck make me jealous! And yes, there’s no better investment than family time, in my opinion.

Nice truck and everything else... Like you say you only live once.

I think that the kids these days call that YOLO. haha
Sweet equipment Luke. All I can think about though is that poor 67 Camaro.

Looks like all you need now is snow!

I do plan that to be my next project (after painting my boat, which should be quick(ish).)

Luke,
It’s good to have hobbies and distractions. More importantly it’s great when you can spend quality time with family and friends who share your passion. Hope you get many hours of enjoyment. Use it all in good health!

Love it! Please post here when you start making progress. My vote is to ditch the stock EFI and do the 24x swap from EFI connection with Terminator X controlling it!

The new Ram trucks are excellent! Love the night trucks
-
Great looking truck and trailer! Both are great to have for sure!

Trailer is sweet! But that Ram Truck is awesome. Love them. They sell them in Australia, but the right hand drive conversion and “luxury” tax adds way too much to the price.
darn government.....they bring in a luxury car tax by selling it as only applying to really rich people with America and BMWs etc.......darn near any decent truck now cops a luxury tax because of the sticker price.

Congrats! Always nice to get new toys :)

Thank all. This year has been really tough on my wallet. But hey, as the kids say YOLO.
-
Congrats! Btw, love the garage. Seems like a great size.

Thanks but that is just my barn. 30x65. It runs on solar panels LED lights as it's a 1/4 mile back from my house. My shop is a 24x50 2 story stick building built to match the house. One half is for parking finished cars the other is for building and painting projects. Upstairs is just a mess of random car parts... Luckily I have a 4 car attached garage for the daily drivers.

 that's a city where I live
I have a single car garage that's attached to the house but without direct access to the house... I can't even expand my driveway for more parking space (thanks to Boston suburbs with crappy bylaws)

Nice! One thing that always slows me down is having to move things around to work on them. Limited organization space is a problem too. People tend to downsize after retirement. I'm likely going the other way when I can finally get out of the hell that is this city.

Me too. Only thing I'm downsizing is all the stuff I've collected and don't use, and that no one in the family will want when I'm gone.

Ya, I love space. My kids can ride four wheelers and snowmobiles, I built a 200' long zip line in the woods a few years back for them. Watching storms roll in off the field's is relaxing. The best part is town (which is small) is basically at the end of our street and the expressway is only a few miles so we can be anywhere in under 30 minutes. I bought a small field (12 acres) across the street to help slow anymore development on our road (at least by my house) we do have neighbors on both sides but my house is behind them so they don't bother me and I know it won't change. I had the house built but I personally built the barn, deck, in ground pool and another small out building. The only downside is mowing 4 acres and all the paths in the woods, but my kids are picking up those chores now. Thanks all for the kind words. It took a lot of sweat and blood to get here. Kentucky Yetti is now starting the same journey right now, hope he has as much fun as I did, I loved it and would do it all again.
Funny, you just posted while I was typing this. Ya, moving would be very difficult at this stage. It would take many trips in the big trailer and a lot of time! If I ever move it will be across the street and one of my kids can have this place. That way I can keep my stuff here.

Cool new toys. Always feels good to get something new.
The rabbit hole happened to me I used to have two tractors one that i mowed with and one to plow with a loader.
So i wanted to consolidate to one tractor.
I ended up getting a John Deere 1023e with a loader and 60" deck. I used it a couple years trying to justify it was bigger then i needed.
Then i bought the lot next to mine and i ended up buying a 3point hitch mulched, a box blade and a roller.
And I also bought a dump trailer. Not sure how I ever lived without it now that I have it.
Its amazing how things quickly get out of control so fast.
