Shims at core support and upper fender
« on: January 20, 2023, 02:33:37 PM »
I'm not anywhere near my body manual. If I remember correctly, no shims should go between the core support and upper two front fender bolts on the early cars. How would  get the core support to come up a bit to meet the fender so as not to pull it down?

I did this so long ago I don't quite remember.

I don't recall any being called out officially, it was more for fine-tuning a fit.

Agree with Walli, I dont know if shims are posted or not. I would set the core with the correct mounting hardware and then go from there. Shim as needed to get things aligned.
