Since not selling then it affects nothing. Do what you want, who cares what others think.

White is so close to the silver, I don't think I'd go through the pain of a color change for that. Now, if you have to paint it because you're restoring it and it's already going to need painted, then do it. Or if it's drastic like silver to blue or black, then do it but silver to white, I wouldn't change my white to silver it just isn't worth it to me. I guess it depends on how bad you hate the silver
It is a lot of work to do a good color change.

If my car wasnt a Tenth, I would paint it white in a heartbeat. I think a second gen TA looks its best in white. My favorite colour on these cars. If done properly, jambs and inside trunk etc. I dont think it will affect the value at all. White is a good colour and pretty neutral, much like silver. If you were going something crazy like purple or lime green that wasnt available then yes I would think it may have some bearing on the value.
Go for it!

My 77 was originally silver. The paint was not in good shape however and required a respray. That’s said, silver is one color on 2nd gens I just don’t like. If it didn’t need a repaint I might have left it silver but I opted to go black with the charcoal/red decals that would’ve been on silver. White was a close second to the silver and I almost wish I’d gone that route just cause I think it’s sharp.

In any case, it’s your car. If you really want a different color and aren’t planning on flipping it go for it.

There’s a guy on FB that makes his living flipping these cars. He swears by painting them (nearly) all black and adding t tops saying they pull more money. They probably do. He’s a bit of a jerk about it and admitted he’ll take any publicity he can get over it, good or bad, to make more money. My point is, if that’s what you want, go for what makes you happy. I also converted my car from an automatic to a 4 speed cause it’s what I wanted. I very nearly cut hurst hatches into it too but shy’d away from it…for now.

I agree what with what all the others have said. It's your car paint it the color you like. Some people want a Resto mod others bone stock as it came from the factory. It's all personal preference. If you are looking for return on your dollar, invest your money elsewhere.

By the way my TA is white with a blue bird and accents. Everyone has their own favorite, that's why Baskin Robbins has 31 flavors of ice cream.

White with the blue accents/decals is my 2nd favorite combo (probably my favorite though if on an early to mid 70s TA). But don’t worry about what we say.  I initially thought I’d keep everything stock too but decided I didn’t enjoy it that way as much.
