Title: 79 Scoop Spacing in Hood

Does anyone have any measurements for the distance between the shaker scoop tray to the hood on a 79 Trans Am? I am fabbing a new shaker base for the 455, and I'm trying to figure out how close to make the shaker to the hood.

Can someone run out to their garage with a tape measure and take a quick measurement of how far down their shaker sits from the hood, please?

1-1/4" for a 1970-76 hood.

My 79 is 1 3/8 from top of fiberglass to exterior hood skin
7 inches from where the bolts sit on water jacket elbow ( ‘77 400) to fiberglass of shaker under hood
My rubber seal isn’t really tight to hood I just noticed
