Door panel top part
« on: August 11, 2022, 12:11:17 AM »
Morning all,

Not sure what you call it, but on the door panel you have the curved plastic top part.
My is looking a bit tired.
The left is still complete, although a bit cracked, the right side is missing a piece.

Does anyone have or know of a 3D printing model available?
I'm think of fixing it with fibreglass, but a 3D printed one would be better.

I'm not even sure what exactly that part is called, so Google is not helping :)

Thanks

No idea what it is called either, but a 3 d part would be wonderful!  Thats one of those parts that goes bad and not reproduced. When I was salvaging my set of door panels I rebuilt mine with fibreglass, which turned out ok, and wasnt really a bad job to do. After building your front end, you should be able to do this piece in your sleep

Yeah sure, it's not difficult to do, but as you also say 3D would be wonderful to have.
