Fan Blade/Clutch

Trying to get the fan blade and clutch ordered and have run into a bit of confusion. I dont see anything motor specific in Ames, summit has generics. Not sure what to order I figured I would call summit and ask someone there. Unless anyone here has better advice. Also How does this mount to the front pulley? My 77 looks like it must have some kind of stud that threads into the water pump and the fan bolts to this with some nuts. I havent been able to find these either. Below is a pic of how its attached in my 77. I dont know if this is right or wrong.

My 77 is the same as far as water pump studs. When I replaced my pump last time my engine was out it didn’t come with the studs so I had to move them from the old pump to the new.

As for the clutch, Hayes seem to make good units. Is the 10th an AC car? If so may want to consider a HD clutch vs the SD but I ran an SD on my 77 for a while with a 5 blade fan before I reinstalled my AC and it did the job just fine. Now with AC I tend to start to warm up at idle, possibly because I’m running a 403 shroud on my 400 and wonder if the fan depth isn’t right but either way, a 7 blade fan and HD clutch slowed the warming up at idle with AC on. Didn’t stop it though. No AC, I rarely see 185° under any conditions.

Thanks, yes its an A/C car. My 77 is also but not hooked up. I am going to try and hook it up on this one though.

There's a pilot on the water pump and 4 studs.  The studs are a curiosity as they are fine thread on one end.

The original clutches weren't slotted like that one, so that one is a newer one.  They don't really last.  I've never seen a good old one.

I know this is an old thread but thought I would tag on instead of starting a new one. I'm trying to remove the fan and clutch to remove my radiator. Can anybody tell me, do you remove the 4 nuts that are on the water pump studs? Mine looks just like the picture, with slots.
Thanks
