Title: Door latch cable sleeves
Post by: Wallington on June 07, 2021, 10:34:37 PM
Anyone parted out several cars? Which years or factory used the cotton mesh door latch cable sleeve rather than the nylon mesh stocking type? 78 vs 79 perhaps. Also, might help those ordering nylon stockings and calling them car parts. No judgement.

That's interesting.  I have several doors and all of them have the nylon mesh.  Didn't even know there was a cotton one. I believe my doors are all 79 and up though.

Pardon my density :?   Are we talking about the rod inside the door, visible once the int. trim panel is off?

Yup, from inside door handle to door latch.
Thought it was time this forum dealt with some serious info for once!

Well, I never thought about it.  I didn't even notice the difference.
