The is a sound deadener backing pad that is under the carpet but by the time we pull our old nasty carpet it has become one. Classic industries and others offer it separately but what you and others have done is the best way.

OTOH, the more I work on this car, the more I realize that there's really not much to it. Like, a few interior panels, then the body work nightmare, and it'll be about done at that point.

Buttler Performance uses the 557 block in builds up to 450 or 500 HP, I don’t remember which. Obviously there a lot of variables that come into play when building an engine other than just the block. Probably just as important to have it done by a competent shop.

« Last post by DeCaff2007 on Today at 04:57:30 PM »Well, I've temporarily moved on from door/fender/hood alignment. The biggest reason being that I was waiting on radiator support bushings to come in. I took a look at what I have installed and they just don't look right.
So the parts actually came in today and they look nothing like what's currently installed.
These are what came in today, from Fbodywarehouse.
Once these get installed, I'll try the door alignment again. Although, I still don't understand why the driver side door sags down a 1/4" even with new hinges.
