Xtreme_TA build
« on: January 13, 2023, 03:48:26 PM »
I want to start a new build thread. I was looking back through all my build photos and there's allot of them.
I don't have the time to recreate the tread that was lost so to start I'll put a link to the video which has photos from the start of the build to when I sold it.

Now that winter is here I'll be able to spend more time in the shop so I'll start posting photos of the rebuild.

Then this on is the joyride video if anyone wants to watch it again or for thoses who never saw it.

Probably the most radical second generation FB I have ever seen. Looks like it could be a real handful. Looking forward to seeing more and reading details.

Do you regret selling it? Did you replace it with something else?

Gone but not forgotten;
1973 T/A 455
1975 T/A 400
1978 T/A W72

A few update pics. I built a whole new firewall. I bought myself a bead roller and went to town. Not sure how I ever lived without one.
The new subframe is installed for the last time. I still have to well it into the subframe connectors and do the cage tie ins.
I am going to remove the existing cage and redesign it.
I built a new radiator support for the new radiator. It's a much larger radiator now with dual 14" fans.
The battery is getting moved to the trunk.

Always loved your car.  I'm glad you got it back after you sold it and the owner trashed it.

So glad to see you are still making progress on the car! I feel a little bit of a connection to it because I saw it posted locally and let him know it was for sale again.  :cool: I'd hope that if someone saw one of my old cars, they would do the same. So cool you were actually able to buy it again.
