Has anyone had to change a rear brake hose or disconnect something but not bleed it straight away? I have a rear hose to swap, but wanted to powdercoat the rear bracket while apart with a batch of smaller items at same time. In theory, could be 1-2 weeks from quick disconnect and refit new hose, then disconnect again, insert bracket and refit hose again. I could jack the rear up fairly high, for access also, but to limit any air bubbles from going anywhere except towards the rear drums, but also, bleeding the fronts is a pain! Anyway, more for conversation as I would anyway, just had me thinking how many actually would and get away with it.

I'd just plug the line with a homemade fitting welded shut or use a rubber plug. Then bleed as normal when ready.

It would be fully connected once hoses swapped, it's just that the the hose passes through the mounting bracket which will be missing for a  week or two. Otherwise, only disconnected for several seconds each time. Only a workshop shell, doesn't even matter if has brakes, just be easier to sell if does.
