AACA Convention 2024

The Antique Automobile Club of America held its annual convention in N. Va this year. Just less than a 2 hour drive for me so I just went down for the day last saturday. The event runs a few days and it culminates with a banquet at which major awards are given out for past participation. During the day they have quite a few seminars on a wide variety of topics. My primary goal was to attend the judging school again. One school is required per year. It is NOT a car show but an event. They had a large room set up with vendors and the local chapter brought in a few cars for display. They were immaculate.

Great looking cars, looks like a nice event. I would love to have something 100% original and not modified. I think the trend is modified restorations that look original but have modern mechanicals underneath. But I like the idiosyncrasies and quirks bringing me back to the way they started out.

Nice, sounds like a fun event to attend.

Nice event. How many attendees do they typically get?

I'll take the red Buick, please.
