Although this is an old photo, it still looks exactly like this!!  A while back I was able to bolt some part back onto the engine, but it's still far from being together so it sits on the engine stand. My goals are still to just this thing back together so I can drive it!!

BTW - Hello Everyone!!

I agree.  I have the GT rear, Hotchkiss front lowering (only because I didn't know of PTF when I bought them) solid body mounts and PTFB subframe connectors.  I have the 17x9 snowflakes. My car sticks like glue. I took it out on some winding roads the other day and just whipped through them. My son son was impressed and asked if our other 79 could do that. I said no way, at least not nearly as flat but it is a Formula and stock.

Like above, the ride is stiffer but not horrible.  I would like to autocross it but she's my baby.  I've have have owned her since the mid 90s. I want to keep her together and looking nice now.

Would love to see some photos on this suspension compared to the GT set up.  While I love how it looks and handles with the GT kit, as I get older, a bit more height might be nice.  I just always thought the stock TA sat too high in front and don't want to duplicate that

I have the GT set up front and back also, as well as solid body bushings, and sub frame connectors.  The ride isn't horrible.  Its firm but this is a sports car not a caddy.  While I am running a 15x8 flake with a 255/60-15 tire, she still corners like crazy.  I would put it up against alot of cars on the road, at least in cornering ability.

Sorry man, I was replying to Kerry’s post. As for your issue, if I remember right the horn contact is part of the cancelling cam. The contact protrudes through the lock place and only has a limited range of motion and the lock place can only go on one way followed by the hub which has a hole for the contact but can be adjusted a tooth or two depending on where the cam is in relation to the lock plate. So it might have a little adjustability but I’m thinking like 1/8 of a turn if that.

Tires, Brakes & Suspension / Brake Help

If anyone has a stock disc brake settup from 79, is it possible to post some pics of the caliper and in particular the line feeding into the caliper.

I am having a devil of a time getting my rear brakes hooked up. I bought calipers from Firebird Central and after talking with them found out they are for someone doing a conversion to disc brakes. I have hard lines installed which I thought were exact reproductions, I may have bought them from inline tube? The hard lines I have do not fit into the Caliper. The Caliper I have is made to accept a banjo bolt not a flare nut fitting that I have. I have tried getting parts to marry the two together but so far no luck. I found something close from JEGS, an inverted flare female fitting but the threading is off. I called and what I got from them is the closest thing they have.

Looking in my 1979 Service Supplement Manual I see nothing in reference to the 'feed' line other than a note that says
"if brass bolt and block were removed..."  Looking at Tom's thread about a parking brake I can see in the pic what I think is the brass block.

SO, I am looking for ideas, or if someone has an original pair of calipers that can be rebuilt that they want to part with.
