Park brake cable brackets

Anyone recall what finish these had when new? Some are black but also could be underbody spray, but so many are rusty that may have been bare all along.

Behind the back wheels from the side, the brake cable comes through it to the brake. More a curiosity, I know I painted mine 15 years ago.

Hmm, I’ll have to look next time I’m under there. Gotta replace my cable eventually anyway
