Is this the future of Hot Rodding?
« on: December 08, 2021, 01:12:52 PM »
This doesn't have anything to do with Firebirds. Although I could see them using a Jet engine booster on a future remake of Smokey and the Bandit.

This builder does some remarkable engineering with first class workmanship on mounting three jet engines to the back of a Tesla. I don't think the end result is worth the amount of work and cost.
I will say it really gives the Tesla a much better sound. This upgrade could deter tailgaters and perform as a backup leaf blower. Looks like this guy lives in the Chicago area, so maybe someday I will see it going down the road.

My wife has a saying "Men are idiots!"  I am pretty sure this guy may be our leader!
Seriously though, def some remarkable engineering and a nice set of tools at his disposal. Seeing someone like this makes me realize how dumb I am. But then again I am not taking an electric car and installing a motor that sucks back 2gallons a minute to gain a second from 0-60

I don't think he did it just because he wanted to but this is somehow for his business or livelihood.

Jack, to me its about the same as seeing a criminal that goes through outrageous lengths to pull off a crime, then one says if they put that energy into good....... Looking at this guys you tube stuff he does some pretty outrageous things. Hes def way smarter than myself and quite talented, but I have to ask myself why? Maybe he has already made that 'invention' that put him into early retirement and its all for fun and to see if it can be done kind of a thing. More power to the guy.
