Plug wire orientation
« on: July 02, 2023, 12:00:05 PM »
Hi all, America!
I am trying to route the custom made for my application wires and some are not working out the way I am starting #1. Is there a factory known for where they placed the #1 plug wire?

I believe it would be in the general area of your uncapped terminal. Kind of toward the firewall/driver area

That's what I was thinking. So much for the made to fit wires a couple of them are just too short so I guess I will just put them how they will fit and renumber them.

Would it help if you re-clocked the distributor?

Placement of the #1 wire is correct so long as the BAT and Tach terminal connectors are right below it. All the other wires are correctly placed too. The one without a wire attached [next to #1] is obviously the #8 Looks correct to me. The way you want to route them is the longest to shortest format. Lay all of the wires on a flat surface and organize them from longest to shortest and then start from there. Worked for me like a charm.

The vendor(performance distributors) is remaking three of them for me so it looks like will work out.
