What did you use? It will obviously still need to be sealed on the outer edge or it will guide more water to the inside than if it was not there at all.

I'm going to try it a different way.  On the driver side, I don't need any air flow.  I'm going to cut the lip off of the kick panel where it goes through the body. Glue it in place and seal the entire opening with some sort of plate or panel. The kick panel should fit fine.. may require an extra screw or two.  On pass side, I have the hoses for the Vintage Air coming through... just need to be sure it's sealed up. 

And thanks for pulling this thread out of the weeds....   I've been trying to figure out where the water has been coming from & thought I was missing something, like a panel or hose.  .  Saved me a lot of time & effort.

Thanks for this. Now I know why and where the water was coming from after washing the car for the first time this past weekend.
