Title: Tenth Anniversary T Tops
Post by: roadking77 on December 05, 2023, 06:12:48 AM
I am pretty sure the 1/4" or so frame that is visible around the perimeter of the top was a matte black colour, the large edge of the hatch top which is essentially the top of the door is my concern. It is body coloured, my question is whether this was a tape or painted on?

Whish I could help but my car is not a 10th and thw outer trim is all chrome as well as the strip over the window. I have like 5 pairs or more of T tops and most of them are different from the other set. Seems there were a few styles out there not to mention the silver and gold glass ones of the special cars.

Tape was used along the edge above the window.

Thanks guys. Luke, I too have a few pair of tops, one even has looney tune characters etched into it!! I would have to dig it out. When I got it I thought how silly for someone to do that to a t top, but thinking a bit further along it will make some nice period wall art.
Thanks Warren, I suspect that the area was a colour matched tape. I have seen a couple of low mile original cars in person and never think to look close at the tops.
