I never saw this thread before now. I have the original mirrors from my car which I bought from the original owner.  I am 99.8% sure they are the mirrors and glass the car was born with. I will just have to re find them. I have so many parts parts I couldn't find them when I was looking for them to paint when I restored my car. But I recently saw them somewhere in my parts collection I can probably locate them again for you.

I think I understand what you are asking.....

I'm the original owner of my 79.  The mirrors were never changed.  The drivers side has a date code but the passenger side does not.  The car was built in late February 79.

The RH side gasket appears to be slightly longer than the mirror base compared to the driver's side.      So either the mirror base is shorter or the gasket is longer.  Otherwise the two sides look the same.
