Title: Year One lugnuts
Post by: Wallington on January 17, 2023, 11:48:32 PM
These may have existed for some time. I've only just seen them. Tapered acorn lugnuts to suit the version 2 Snowflakes but with a head that looks stock with flange and  dimple.

As well as chrome they do black.

Also, where the version 1 17x9" Snowflakes used factory lugnuts but changed to acorn with version 2, the 15x8" version stayed with factory style throughout. This appears to have now been updated. It says version 2 15x8, whatever that is, now uses the acorn lugnuts as well. Then elsewhere, it says the stock lugnuts are only suitable for factory and reproduction 15x8 rims, which is different to previous updates and ignores version 2 15x8 possible changes and version 1 17x9. Best case scenario, it is incorrect and incomplete.

The chrome ones have been around for at least 10 years.  I bought a set back then.  It has the correct dimples.  I compared them to my flaking originals and the are exactly the same.

That's an alternative, the OEMs had the "shelf" around the built in washer. I sent mine out to be rechromed.

Yes, I'm not talking about the reproductions of GM lugnuts but to suit the tapered seat of the version 2 chamfer of their wheels.

Those are cool! I haven't seen those before. I may have to get s set. I have the later 17x9 snowflake. Those would make it even closer to stock looking.  The wheels are the only deviation from stock my car shoes on the exterior.

Thanks for posting!
