Looks good. Do you have the various manuals and diagrams that show the brackets and part numbers, and how they assemble? I'm not a 400 guy but I'd have all that on file if needed to help search parts.

I may have some of what you are looking for, I will check today and send a PM. Ben providing part numbers could be very helpful here. When I was doing this for my car I seem to recall sometimes there were multiple part numbers for the same brackets.

For things like the alternator you may want to consider a rebuilt. An original needs to be cleaned up and may have worn out parts such as bearings. If you have a trusted auto electric shop to rebuild a good core, that would be OK.

Power steering pump could be another part you might consider a rebuilt a used might have leaking seals.

If you weren’t going for a concours restoration I would suggest a new high torque mini starter as they are superior to the original 70’s starters.

One thing you might consider is wire looms, this is what I did with mine so they didn't hang or touch things they shouldn't...

Thanks,
I have a 77 service manual, but not a parts manual with no's. It looks like with the correct parts I may be able to figure things out between the service manual and looking at my other motor.

My ambition with this car is to have it point judged in AACA, but I also want it to be reliable. I have already sacrificed 10 pts (major deduction) with the aftermarket manifold, so if that knocks me out of contention then I will have another driver class car, LOL.
Def going with a mini starter, have one on my 77 and love it. Most likely will get it from Summit.
As for the Alternator and power steering pump, I got both of those for my 77 from NAPA and will try there first.
Pulleys and brackets are the big thing I think.

Thanks, Dip stick tube is there, and the throttle stuff is all there. Motor has been running, tested, broken in etc. Just no bracketry and important stuff, LOL.

Ive got some stuff coming, and a line on some more. If anyone has any bracketry let me know. I think its getting narrowed down to just a few pieces.
