Does anyone have a 77-78 4 speed that could tell me if the speed cable goes over or under the trans? Thanks for any help

Link please.  I'm sorry, but the way that's worded is kind of hard to follow.
Current junk: 
1976 T/A 400 (4-speed swap) 
1989 Chevy K1500 RCSB (V8 swap)
1983 Pontiac Grand Prix (LS swap)
1967 Buick Special Deluxe (just trying to get it running)

It's all trial and error until something lines up...
