Hi - thanks for the add!

Hi all -

Im a long time Firebird and T/A guy.  I've had 2 69 Firebirds, a 1980 Formula Firebird, a 75 T/A 455, a 83 Recaro T/A and now a 1979 10th Anniversary T/A resto mod in progress.

Welcome to TAC, Avalanche.  I had fun reading your T/A blog. So have you settled on an engine yet? You've mentioned LS1, 6.0 and 376. That 4L80 tranny will hold up to the torque that even an LSA puts out. Is this your first LS swap? I swapped in a LS2 in my '87 Monte SS and love it! Best of luck with the build.  :cool:

Welcome to TAC, we have a bit in common, I had an 82 firebird but really wanted to buy a trans am. Couldnt afford  it. I had a friend though that had an 83 recarro. Also Im restoring a tenth anniversary.

Your TATA looks fantastic! I always thought Pontiac did an exceptional job on the design, paint and interior of the Tenth Anniversary cars. As you probably noticed, TAC is currently experiencing some technical issues but I am confident they’ll get resolved. We have a great group of people here with a wealth of knowledge.

Ive been all over the place as far as engines go, I think Ive settled on an LS1, I want the all aluminum engine.  I'm a pretty experienced mechanic but this will be my first LS swap.

Looking to follow your build.  I also have a TATA resto-mod.  There is a Projects and Restorations section on TAC where you can follow others and post your build when the site gets fixed.
